1. Hi guys,

Really not gigging or anywhere near ready for it at the moment so don't need this lovely bit of kit right now and want to use the funds from this sale to get a little Roland Bass Cube for my room. Everyone needs one of these if you're playing live or just want some different sounds and styles at practice.

The programmable version gives you 3 channels and a handy boost button for the 1/4" output jack. We all know how good these are so don't delay.

It's been gigged every now and then but is in very good condition; can provide photos if desired. Can also include power cable for £5 extra. Looking for [s]£160[/s] [s]£150[/s] £140 plus postage (no more than £10 - bubble wrap is expensive it seems). Will do a (small) discount if anyone takes my Boss SYB-5 bass synthesizer pedal too.

Cheers,
Dan

I've always liked the TM5.. Bassdirect had a bright yellow one in for a while I kept going back to look at.

How is the sound with these? Is it more modern and hifi with the active preamp than a standard Fender? I always imagined these would sound like a Fender jazz with a J retro....

Gotta agree with what fretmeister said. A really wide range of sounds especially with the single/dual coil switch and active/passive mode.

I'm actually in need of an amp so have only heard her through Rico's amp when I tried her out. Hoping to get a little Roland Cube or something similar soon.

3. Bought this off Rico on here with the proceeds of my clearout. Really hoping this is gonna be getting me back into playing regularly.

She's a beautiful instrument with a lovely wide range of sounds. I tried her out at Rico's but need to buy an amp so in the market for a little Roland for my room, just to get my chops back up.

Finally being down to one bass is a sobering experience especially given the nature of how I lost most of them. Very happy to have a new axe to call my own and something to inspire me again!

:)

4. Sold Ian my Spear S2. Ian was great to deal with; prompt with all communication and payment. He even gave me the extra when the postage and packing ended up costing more than I had suggested in my for sale thread.

Don't hesitate to deal with Ian, he's a solid guy and a credit to BassChat, not to mention a recent convert from guitar which is always good to see.

Cheers,
Dan

5. Rico entertained me at his place in fine style today. Tried out his Sandberg California TM5 and ended up leaving with it, along with a decent idea about my next amp too. Really love this bass already and hopefully this is what I need to get me back into playing.

Rico is a great guy to deal with and a credit to BassChat!

6. SOLD SOLD SOLD!

Hi BCers,

Following these two threads, my two surviving basses are up for sale:
http://basschat.co.u...-would-be-nice/ &
http://basschat.co.u...ass-these-days/

Really not playing anymore and these beauties need to be played. Sansamp PBDDI, Warwick hardcase and a couple of other odds and ends will follow soon.

The Lakland is a great bass, a pleasure to play, very comfortable and a stunning finish, personally I'm a sucker for a sunburst top with ash/maple fingerboard. The Bartolini pickups sound great and a fixed, wide strap is included for top comfort when playing.

I should mention that I have promised the custom pickguard (a unique addition, never seen another like it) to another BCer in return for a BC donation. He expressed an interest in a template and I've said he may as well have it (it is stuck on with double sided tape) - if you wish to discuss keeping the pickguard for an appropriate BC donation, that can be done.

This bass is in good condition but as per the Spear I also have for sale it is in need of new strings, battery, a setup and above all some TLC and playing time! Anyone interested in the bass is welcome to have a try out in Docklands area of London, but I don't have any amplification I'm afraid.

The price above is with UK postage and a Lakland gigbag, will knock off £20 for collection anywhere in central London.

I don't think I'm going to be playing bass for a number of years at present, but trade offers are welcome; something new might reignite GAS and a desire to play, who knows?

More pictures and a short history of the Lakland here: http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__1743417
Any questions at all, more information, pictures etc. please get in touch.

The Spear itself is a lovely bass, really nice to play and a beautiful finish. A great singlecut top and light weight with a nice balance.

There is the odd blemish (not my doing) and it is in need of new strings, battery, a setup and above all some TLC and playing time! Anyone interested in the bass is welcome to have a try out in Docklands area of London, but I don't have any amplification I'm afraid.

Don't see many of these so it is quite difficult to price but it's a lovely bass for the money, and it looks pretty cool and unique in my humble opinion.

The price above is with UK postage, will knock off £20 for collection anywhere in central London. Will consider including the Lakland gigbag if this goes before the Lakland, for a small amount extra.
