Iv just learnt Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne
cant wait to run it through with the band tomorrow The bass lines are great in this song but the guitar sound on the original track really irritates me for some reason but I really like the Skid Row and Bullet For My Valentine versions -
Hey just a quick one
My band wants to cover Live Wire by Motley Crue which I believe is meant to be played in drop D but every bass tab I see on the internet is in standard and every guitar tab is in drop D Ive played along to the track and it didn't sound out of place but my ears are naff lol
Is it meant to be in different tunings and/or will it work? -
hey thanks for link it was useful Iv used gig bags before and every time the straps snap (always on concrete steps for some reason) so I don't really fancy using another.
I did find some hard cases that might fit though through the links on your thread Im going to email the companies to see what they recommend. -
Hey everyone im in a bit of a pickle about about cases for my blackbird.
Iv been searching the internet for days trying to find any information about cases for Thunderbird style basses but cant find a thing Iv seen loads of sites that have the Epiphone hard case specifically for the Thunderbird but there always out of stock and have a waiting list and I need one pretty soon due to having a toddler with curious little fingers and me being a bit clumsy lol I don't really want to risk using a gig bag after having some bad experiences with them.
Are there any other cases that would fit? im also on a tight budget so I don't really want to venture over £80.
sorry to be a pain but any help would be appreciated -
Hey im lee iv been playing bass for about 5 years on and off.
Im currently playing an Epiphone Nikki Sixx Blackbird which i got as an early 21st birthday present and i love it
Im using a Behringer BX6000 amp that i got from ebay for £50, Its not the best amp but its much better than what people make it out to be.
I stumbled across this forum after trying to use the ultimate guitar forums a few times but the people on there aren't very nice but you guys seem like a nice bunch
First bassline you ever learned?

I did a performing musician course at college but being the crappiest drummer out of the 10000000 drummers and the lack of bassists on the course I had to play bass and had to learn Hitchin A Ride - Green Day, Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous - Good Charlotte, I Wonna Be Your Dog - Iggy And The Stooges, Mr Jones - Counting Crows on a some rubbish Legacy jazz replica in about a week for a gig.
I still have that bass but it would cost more to repair it than it would to buy a new one so its sitting on a stand gathering dust
