  1. Hi jhk,
Just to confirm that the Eden speakers are made by Eminence now. They make a lot of speakers for many manufacturers under a thing called OEM, which stands for 'original equipment manufacturer'. A bit of a mouthful hence the acronym! They manufacture the stuff to Eden's spec and then they are badged Eden. This is no secret check this out here;http://www.eden-electronics.com/info/why/whytext.htm
Loads of items worldwide are made OEM for computers, cars, all sorts of stuff.
I hope this is a help.
    Phil.

  2. Hi jhk,
The best place to start is getting a re-cone peice. Wembley Loudspeakers are the chaps and Paul McCallum has been in the business about 40 years so he has seen everything. He re-coned an Eden badged 15" speaker for me 18 months ago. It was a PAS and he encouraged me to get it re-coned rather than buy a new Eminence or similar. I remember he said 'they don't make them like this any more....'. It is a heavy driver but sounds fantastic.
Give Paul a call on 0208-743-4567 or email [email protected], I'm sure he will be able to help.
BTW I have tried plenty of 'Neo' speakers over the past few years, sadly they don't sound quite the same as a conventional magnet, lighter in weight, but also in sound.....
    All the best,
    Phil.
