2. Here are some sound clips of the bass.
Now please remember that these where recorded about 6/7 years ago so the playing isn't up to much, but you can get the basic idea of what the bass sounds like.
I pluged the bass straight into the outboard sound card, no amp, pre amp etc used. But I did use VST pre's in the mastering process aswell as effects like reverb and compression.
I'm gonna try and make some more 'raw' recordings if I can get my hands on some equipment.
Hope you enjoy.

3. Hi all,

Up for sale is my 76 jazz bass. I bought this from the bass centre in manchester about 6 or 7 years ago now and has been my main bass ever since. It's the amber colour marcus miller style. All the parts are original except for the nut I think, looks new compared to the rest of the bass (I did buy it with the nut like this). The bass has a few dings and worn laquer but is in good condition for its age and has that old, retro, cool look about it (as well as tone)
I'm only selling this bass as I am starting my own guitar workshop, making basses and guitars etc so need the money to buy some nice woods and tools.
The bass comes with a hiscox case which is great condition except the middle lock doesn't work. I'm in Liverpool and don't mind people coming to have a look. I'd prefare pick-up but will send courier at the buyers cost. I'm looking for 1500.

4. Hi,

Does anybody know the difference in sound/tone, power etc of the BH 500 compared to the Classic or RH 450 amp heads. The BH 500 looks like a cheaper version of the RH 450 but with a tweeter tone.
Anybody had any experience with these, or A/B'd with other RH heads.

5. Hi,

http://www.wood-finishes-direct.com/produc...quer-sprays.htm
try that out. you can actually use car spray paint and laquer. You'll need to buy cans of spray paint unless you have the equipment and room to spray. The good thing about car paint is that you can get loads of colours and its quiet cheap.
You could also try taking the bass to a car spay workshop and they might be able to to do it for you.
Any other questions just ask.

6. Hi,

The problem you'll have is making a wooden pup cover that will fit into the route for the plastic pup. Generally wooden covers are bigger.
Normally the plastic cover is removed and a wooden one is made, just the inards of the pup go in (not the cover).
To get a wooden pick-up cover to fit you might have to re-route the hole for the pickup. This would be a tricky job and could go very wrong. You might be better to send it back to Shuker to get it done. Unless someone can make a pick-up cover that will fit in.

7. in my experience most people dont even know the difference between bass and guitar!(musicians excluded of course)

They always ask, whats the difference between the bass and guitar? I think most normal punters see the shape and think its the same thing.
