  1. Fellow basschatters!

I have a natural finish Sadowsky Tokyo bass recently brought from a German Ebayer 4 months ago. Haven't bonded with it so am looking to move it on. It's not been gigged due to no longer being in a band.

Weight is approx 9.5 lbs, comes with a Sadowsky padded gig bag.

Cosmetically, it's in very good condition, no major dings, but not mint.

    Controls:

Volume, Pickup pan, Treble Cut/Boost, Bass boost only and passive/active push/pull.

For those that don't know the Tokyo range was the precursor to the Metro range, and are no longer made.

    Brought it for £1500, looking for £[s]1400[/s] £[s]1250[/s] £1200. Would consider a trade for a Status S2 four/five or Status S2000 Classic.

Any other question, please let me know.

  2. Hello Fellow BassChatters!

Recently brought a Mesa Boogie 400+ from Ebay. Must say its a fantastic amp. Have yet to gig the things but have tried it out in rehearsals. Looking for some settings to get a funk sound that can cut through in the mix. Have experimented with a few settings but can't get away from a muddy sound.

Already looked at a few forum threads but as I'm looking to get out there and gig (got a gig on friday), wondering if anyone has a few settings, advice or other sources I can look into.

    Thanks

    Reg

  3. Hey Dan,

Sorry mate, haven't been getting your emails for some reason.

Opened it up to check for myself...5 tubes (as you would expect) 4 GT 12AX7R/ECC83s (3 for the pre amp), a GT 12AX7R and an Electro Harmonix 12 AU7A/ECC82EH for drive.

From my investigations on certain forums, the JJs are cheaper than the GTs. If you were to change them I believe Watford Valve (google them) do all three types.

    Cheers

  4. Looking to sell my USA made Ampeg SVT 3 Pro. Along with it comes my SKB 4 U rack.

I am the second owner as I import the amp from the USA and had Chris Ward (Bass Centre Tech) convert it to run on 240v (UK voltage).

Reason for sale: Have just secured a Mesa Boogie 400+ and can't see any reason to have two amps, despite how good the SVT 3 Pro sounds. So not looking for any exchanges.

    Looking for £450 for both.

Based in North West London...people welcome to try it out. Any questions feel free to ask.
