  1. It was my first thought to be honest, that's why I checked.
The only odd thing was when I took the pickup out of the body to put some more foam under I noticed that a rough looking unfinished cable channel had been routed under the pickup so that the wires could run from top to bottom, where as the other pickup wires went straight out at the bottom as if it has been flipped for some reason?
    I hope that makes sense.

  2. I have a twin humbucker bass, it has a 3 way selector switch, each pickup has a coiltap volume control and a tone control.
When the pickups are soloed the sound really nice but once they are both selected the sound isn't that great.
I've checked if they are in phase with each other by doing the screwdriver and analogue meter test and can can confirm they are.
Has anybody else seen this phenomenon?

  3. I'm selling a pair of Bartolini Mk1 Pickups for a 5 string bass.

These were originaly fitted in a Lakland 55-01 bass.

The screws are not included as i can't find them, sorry about that!

    They are in great condition.

I would like £35 for the pair including UK delivery

    Cheers

  4. Just completed a sale with Jamie, he was great to deal with, paid promptly and maintained a good flow of communication throughout.

I wouldn't hesitate in dealing with him again.

    Cheers

The bass is 18" scale length and has an active piezo pickup, it can be used with an amp or it will power headphones which makes a very versatile instrument.
I have upgraded the original silicone strings to Pahoehoe polyurethane ones, this has made a big difference to the playability and tuning stability but the sound has not suffered, you still get that classic upright sound.
There is a padded gigbag and strap included.

This is the Fender version and it's in excellent condition (there is one tiny paint chip which can be seen on the headstock)

It's a great fun to play and sounds really good when recorded.

I'm only selling as a recent purchase has left me strap for cash!

It could be yours for only £120 delivered within the UK.

    Thanks for looking

  6. A simple request, or so i thought.
I'm after a set of Gotoh Res-o-lite GB350 machine heads (2 either side config in chrome) to replace the cheap "Gotohlikes" that are fitted to a bass i have just bought, the bass suffers from a little neck dive and i thought this would be an improvement,
The only problem is that i can't find anybody that has stock in the UK, a few places i have tried can order them for me but the delivery time is 4 to 6 weeks.
Hipshot Ultralite 3/8" post is an option and they seem to be available but i'm not sure if they are as good.

    What are your thoughts?

    Cheers

  7. Just sold my amp to Mark.

    Communication was prompt and sincere.

All in all a very smooth transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Mark again.

    Cheers

  8. It really does depend on what ss bass it is.

As "casapete" said the longhorn does fit in a guitar bag as does the Birdsong.

But the spector shorty and EB0 won't fit.

I use a normal bass bag for those if they are not in their hard cases (which to be honest are full size cases with shaped inners)

I would take the bass to a shop and see what fits best.

  9. Just purchased a bassbuddy from Rhys.

Great guy to deal with, the goods came promptly, well packed and in exact condition as advertised.

I would deal with him again no problem.

    Cheers

    Mark
