    Hello

Hi Bass Chat Community - My name is Dave and I hail from Barnsley in Yorkshire ... been playing bass since the mid 1970s when I saw the Late Great Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy at Sheffield Crucible and there began my love affair with Lynott and Fender bass guitars. Played with loads of bands and currently play in a a rock covers band Reckless and a fledgling band by the name of The Big Secret. Don't know what I would do without music and although I do get great pleasure out of occasionally spanking my strat there is nothing quite equal to the satisfying growl of the bass guitar. Current favourite is my 1995 Fender Jazz and Ashdown ABM amp and cabs. Also have 1977 USA Jazz (weighs a ton), 2001 Mexican Jazz and 1996 Precision Special. Would love an Active Jazz but they cost a lot and I can't bring myself to sell any of the others. Considered fitting some EMG Solderless Active Jazz Pick ups - has anyone ever tried these? If so are they any good? look forward to being involved Dave
