And Marley could field a full 11 squad. The Beatles could just scrape together a 5-aside team...
Surely there must be at least seven different people who at one time have been labelled the "fifth Beatle" to take the moptop side up to 11!

Football wise I think Bob would have won, he was a really keen footballer, I don't think the Beatles were?

Probably not, there are no decent teams from where they grew up :P

IME people don't normally like it when bands change direction, which is probably why modern bands tend to stay on a similar tack
I don't think that's a recent phenomenon - the money men at the record companies have always wanted "more of the same" from their successful artists. The Beatles were allowed a lot of leeway because of their stature - even when it came to how close to the drums they were allowed to put the mics! (Documented in Revolution in the Head IIRC.)

I think there are too many "famous" people now, far more outlets and reality tv etc, being limited to four tv channels as a kid , three until I was 6 years old meant it was easier to know all the celebs of the time.

Ah, yes. Whatever happened to Rolf Harris? You don't see much of him on TV now, do you?
It was easier to know all the celebs of the time.... the downside being that was "know" in the biblical sense! :o

It really depends if you're buying a bass as a collector or a player. If I were a collector, then maybe (depending on the 'name' and with proof), but as a player it matters not a jot who the previous owner was. The bass is what it is and it's going to be me playing it, situation normal.
Yep, if money were considerably less of an object than it is, I would consider the bass-with-provenance as a collector or investor. Any bass I buy with the intention of actually playing it is likely to depreciate heavily through my association!

Is this as simple as getting a bass booster?
Probably! I used to use an EQ pedal for this... rather than boosting across the range, you may just need to add a little "poke".

    Alternatives: http://alternativeto...tware/audacity/

Looks like there are quite a few free options to investigate at least!
Of these, I used to use Goldwave quite happily. But I defected to (wait for it...) Audacity cos it's simpler!

The feature that's going to be hard to replicate is the splitter. Setting up a number of cue points and hitting "split on cue" is pretty straightforward in A*d*c*ty but it's not something that DAWs I've used are geared up to. (Stands by to be corrected...)
