I would say go for one, i have played maple for years and the one day i played a mates les paul and was like this would rock on bass and that was that.

If you ever end up near eastbourne you more than welcome to give mine a go and see what you think.

Its been a long winter but finally the wait is nearly over.

Cant wait to get her now, played her at the bass show and it was amazing, just the amount of tones you can get is amazing.

I only ask because i saw that you where at the bass show, and had a go on a GB and if thats the case that bass you played with an ebony board might have been mine

I love ebony to me it feels like the black maple, its so smooth and you get a real mid growl with it.

Went and saw bernie on sat and she was all put together, not set up but god she was playing great already.

Berine is going to burst it a little, cant belive she is nealry done, the big man said two weeks from now wahooo.

Was worried the walnut top and ebony fret bored was not going to work but it looks so good cant wait to get some pics up.

I was one of the watchers and god i would love this bass so very much, have loved wal for such a long time.

Really want to try one just never had the chance but god they sound so so good.

I have one on order and can not wait till she is built.

It will be the only bass i play for a long time, every thing else just seems so flat once you have played GB the active circutry is just amazing, the first time i had a go on a spit fire, it just sounded amazing, you can really get any sound out of them but yet they have there own sound.

Yes they do cost a bit, but worth every penny. Bernie will talk you through every thing. And you will keep it for the rest of your life. so 2500 plus for the rest of your life, not really that much.

Now that is a nice spitfire, take it thats walnut?

I have never played a bass that is any where near as good as a GB, i really wanted a Wal but after playing and hearing a GB every thing sounded flat and not enough growl. So that said sold my sadowsky and went and saw bernie staright away. best decsion i ever made
