1. Ok up for sale is my super amazing GB, which i add i love to bits and is such a great bass its a joke.

    She is GONE....................

  2. I really like the production on all the songs and the content is really good as well.

Every thing sits so well in the mix, not normally my sort of music but i will be listening to this for a while now.

All the best and hope every thing works out for you.

PS: please check my feedback to see how just many people have been delighted with the basses I sell from time to time. I'm a bass-playing photographer with access to models who simply enjoys the best of both of these worlds.
+1 :)

And another +1 for a wicked job really the best of both worlds

  4.
Cheers man! Really pleased with how it came out really, for a quick mix. I did spend more time than usual getting the mic positioned right and setting up guitar tones in Amplitube before tracking though, which probably helped a fair bit.

Just need my mate to write vocals for it now and we can add it to the set :)
Be sure to put it up when the vocals are on, would really want to hear that, its amazing how different a track can sound with vocals.

    Once again good job mate

  5.
It is what it is and I am not criticising it per se but just wondered what you would think of it if it was played on a nylon strung acoustic guitar or a piano? It would be pretty lightweight. The focus is, therefore, on the technique being used and not the content per se.

But, to be fair to you, its yours and you did it so more power to you. Would rather this than your version of Portrait of Tracy :)
That is a fair point and one i should remember for the future.

I would say though that technique and content should work together in harmony to create some thing emotive, were the simplicity of the content is helped by the the technique. and thats what i tried to go for, Some thing simple but said in a different way, both working together to help explain to the listener the message of the song. Well thats what i went for.

I think i did it because am personally fed up with crazy slap tracks and super fast triplet 16th note tapping, not saying there is any thing wrong with that its just every one is doing that, but that is your point in reverse really, where technique is actually ruling the content of the song.

Thanks for the comment though, its given me much food for thought.

  7. Ok so here is a new track been working on for a while.

Going to but vocals on it but wanted to know what bass BC's thought of it really.

Am going for a classical feel for this one.

Kinda happy with the production, even though I worked out later that i could replace some of the high end that was lost due to reverb.

Using a GB spitfire Straight into a Duet and logic.

  8.
Love this bass. Stunning.
you not tempted :) thought you would have this.

    Lovely bass this should go............quick

  9.
Don't know if this'll be of any use/interest to anyone on basschat.

Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe pedal complete with original box, instructions etc.
All analogue circuit with true bypass switching.
Works perfectly & is in good cosmetic condition - the previous owner made some white chinagraph pencil marks on the front & took off the rubber pad on the bottom & replaced it with Velcro squares.

Only ever used it on guitar so I have no idea what it would be like with a bass.

    £70.00 inc P+P

These sound amazing with bass, tried one out not so long ago.

If i was not getting a pickle vibe soon i would have this off you.

    Good luck with sale though.

  10. Ok i think this is the right place for this topic

Does any one know any thing about the Tonmister course and does any one think its worth getting it, the list of things you need to get on its crazy.

You need an A in physics, maths and music A level as well as a grade 7 or 8 in performance :)

Am studying music production at the moment (FDA) but finding that the course is A, to easy and B, not really about any thing i really want to do.

    Any help would be amazing.

  11.
Im getting into my 11th year of playing bass.. ive had a few boutique-ish basses.. i adored the Sei i had.. but i really cant see me playing a bass with a sexy wood top now.. im talking spaltedmapleburlishroseofthemountain... im getting more and more interested in cheaper basses and what i can do with them mod wise and musically...my SR5 is the bomb..ok its a little flashy but nothing brash.. not expensive but is possibly the best 5 on the planet..

im not knocking the boutique basses but personally, and this is just me, i would feel like a posh kid who has spent too much money..

if i had £5000 to spend on only bass..., i would prob buy basses under £1000, and mod them to my liking.. i feel i have enough knowledge to mod a bass that could keep up with any £2000 + instrument.. but lets face it, most can its just personal...
So i take it from this you will not be ordering a ritter bass any time soon then :)
