It is a cracking guitar, and it's daft for me to keep it, not being played.

hi all,

tried my first coated strings recently, the aforementioned DR 'red devils'. Paid in excess of £30 for them as they were 'extra long life' and they went dead so quickly!!! absolutely gutted and cant believe how little life they gave me.

Now ive never had coated strings before so is this just me being stupid? I was hoping they would have that 'twang' for a hell of a lot longer. I would say maybe 3/4 hours play and they seemed to just die!! Would love to hear anyone elses experiences?
