Hi What do people recommend for new pickups in a 5 string P bass I have the stock ones still in it and they are a bit lifeless IMO I really like MM style pickups but I dont want to carve at my bass any suggestions on pickups for making that tone? Its for a BC Rich Heritage Classic 5 String

So i have a Yamaha John Myung RBXJM2 and its a great bass with a great sound but I have noticed that John Myungs Version of this has an extra pickup compared to the released series check out the Dream Theater Live Budokan show where he is using the silver version of this bass now heres my idea i am tempted to add a bartonli fat stack pickup to the bass in the same position as he has his extra pickup this will give the bass a lot more attack which i feel is missing a little from this bass do you think its an idea to go forward with or not??
