Blimey, that brings back memories, I had a Jack in 1989 as my second ever bass, probably like lots of people wish I still had it, it was a nice little bass to play.
Do yourself a favour, put it on French Ebay using the built in translation programme, or even just in English. Most players here speak English. Put a starting price of what you'd really like for it (say £1200) It's just Ebay.fr
Status basses go for about 40% more here than in the UK. I've seen Energy series basses go for €1,000 on French sites and with the current exchange rate, you could have a serious result. The delivery is no problem if you use a good courier service and they all use Paypal here so no probs getting your dosh.
If it doesn't sell, it's only cost you a couple of pounds.
Thanks for the info -
As an early 2000s model I'd say about 1000 gbp, but don't worry. There are plenty of Status fans on here who'll be up for such a lovely bass.

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the advice, looking at the list you've got there you're obviously a fan.
Cheers

Yes, it's the one I play the least, I much prefer my Stingray and Yamaha these days, in fact I love my Yamaha so much I want to replace the Status with a BB2004, sad I know but I just like the feel of them.

I'm looking at getting rid of my S2 Classic neck through, but don't really know what I should be asking for it?
What should I be looking for sensibly? It's in very nice condition, no dinks.
Quilted maple top in Aquamarine.

The only things that should have that many strings are harps and pianos!
Anything more than 6 strings is just silly. -
I have an original TRB4 and I absolutely love it, I'll never get rid of it, I cut down on my number of basses, (down to 4 from 12 now), and got rid of my Fender Jazz and Precision and Pedulla MVP but never even considered getting rid of my Yammy.

Lovely looking bass, I do like Yamahas, I have an old TRB4 Mk1 which I bought new in the early 90's, I actually play it more than my Stingray, Status and Custom, they have such a nice clean sound.
wow, the colour on the status is just stunning! and the V's a beauty too. who made it for you? and are both the tops curly maple?
Tom
The V is made by a chap called Ray Cooper at www.raycooperguitars.com, the top, (well all of it really), is Mahogany and the S2 is maple.
The S2 is Aquamarine which is the same colour birthstone as my Mrs. so I when I appeared home with it after spending a few quid I had to tell her that I got the colour especially to remind of her, (seemed to work I managed to keep my balls). -
Looks like EB/MM are putting out a new range to fill in the gap left by OLP and the SUB range...

I'll have the Ray35, please.
They're not to fill the gap left by the OLP and SUB as these new ones aren't budget basses, that gap is going to be filled by something else, allegedly
