1. Calm down guys, its only a debate about fenders :)
I would much prefer a custom made Overwater/Shuker over a fender that has no features above a normal fender. In fact i'm sure you could get a Precision or jazz from either one that has better build quality.

Ahh good point, oh and I dont mean to sound sarky im just a bit confused :)

Yes, but even if it's handmade I fail to see how its price can be higher than other handmade bass's like shuker's

4. Ive always been a tad confused as to why the MIA fenders are so expensive, when they have basicly the same conponents as the MIJ models. And as oposed to other brands they are very expensive.

For example, why does this cost 2000 pounds more than a MIJ p bass?

One little saying i heard was, "Made in mexico fenders, made in mexico by mexicans, Made in america fenders, made my mexicans in america"

5.
Hi there,
Can you give us a few clues as to what bass and style of music you play and what cab you use.
Ooh righty ho. i play alot of slap/ funk, but also some rock/metal kinda stuff. i havnt got a cab, so i'm buying one with the head. Probably a 2x10
im not playing massive gig's so the power doesnt need to be massive.

6. im looking at buying a new amp as my little marshal has recently died. im going to do it properly and buy a mid range amp.
ive played through the TC electronic classic 450 and i loved it, but unless i can get it second hand it's a tad expensive. i havnt tried ashdown abm's or trace elliots. Any opinions on these?

Thanks in advance

The basic circuit's been added to, I think theres a pick up selector in there.
You'd probably have to be able to make sense of the circuit diagram to be able to install it.
Do you know someone who could?
Well the bass it would be going into is a cheapo bass with jazz type pickups with two voloumes and a tone.

8. i have alot of free time lined up in the summer so i thought i'd start a project to keep me busy. i would realy like to make my own bass. i know it wont be that amazing but as long as it makes an alright sound i'll be happy. My budget wont be high at all (under £200)
Where do i start? :)
Basswood seems to be a good choice of wood as it's cheap and i've heard its nice to work with.

9. i've always loved ibanez bass's. My btb is perfect for me. But i was looking at the higher end ibanez range, and there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of choice. Anyone out there have or has tried out any of the £1000 plus models?
