1. The year is 2006 and having just measured it, the scale is definately 34". I can only assume that if you are right that all pre 2009 strings were 35" that the scale reduction was a custom feature, thus confirming the custom shop tag on the headstock. Obviously I can only assume this as I bought this second hand off the original owner. Thanks for all the interest.
2.
I got excited as I thought it was orange from the photos, but the description says red, boooo.
You see, this is where it gets a bit confusing. Its certainly not what you would call a red red if you know what I mean. Its not a million miles away from the Fender fiesta red used on the new Squier P Bass if that makes sense. Sadly, it isnt a solid orange either though that would be cool. The photos dont really do it justice so as soon as I get a chance to take some outdoor pictures to show exactly what it looks like I will do. Hope that helps.
3.
This is a 34" or a 35" scale? And what year is it built?
Sorry, confusion regarding copied text from Sandberg website. This bass is 34" scale. All Sandberg 35" scales are made to order I believe.
4. In light of buying a couple of basses last week it is with a heavy heart that I have to move on this wonderful bass. This particular bass is an early custom shop model and is finished in a lovelly red accompanied with a delicate soft aged finish. Lovelly rosewood finger board and 2 Delano J pickups powered by active bass and treble pre amp complete the picture. Some details copied form the Sandberg website: NECK 6 x bolted / canadian hardrock maple FRETBOARD 22 frets SCALE 864 mm / 34" HARDWARE sandberg PICKUP 2 Delano J-style PREAMP sandberg 2-band, active / passive, passive tone control Comes complete with pristine original gig bag and all tools, and I will throw in some strap locks too. This is a truely wonderful bass and one that I would love to keep but off to university soon so need to realise some cash in my possesions so sadly this need to go. I am hoping to get £720 for it and for obvious reasons no trades please. Please excuse the photos, lighting in my flat is terrible but will upload better pictures as soon as I can. Thanks for looking.

7.
Photos uploading now
Cheers. Would I be right in assuming that both are 8 ohm cabs?
8. Any chance of a couple of pictures? Cheers
9. Photos and individual price for the 2x10 would be appreciated.
10. Can you split the bridge pick up and if so, how close to a single jazz pick up sound can it get?
11. What a beaut. Alas I have nothing to trade but if a buy it price comes up, I might very well have it.
12. Cheers for all the advice people, it has been appreciated. I will be checking out the few that have been suggested by a few members and report back. Thanks again.
13. Wow, that looks great. Cant wait for this to come together.
14. Great cab! The bass player in my brothers band uses two of these. If only I could afford such a thing.
15. Due to a recent endorsment deal with a different drum manufacturer this pedal is now no longer needed. This pedal is simply awesome. Tight and responsive feel together with utterly dependable build quality. I have only owned it for 4 months and in that time it has only picked up very minor cosmetic scuffs. As I say, new sponsorship from a rival company has left it redundant so hoping to get some of the £170 I spent on it. Comes with a purpose made smart nylon bag with shoulder strap and drum key. This is what it looks like but will post pictures of the actual unit tomorrow; All the information about this item can be found at the DW website here. Hoping to get £100 for it. Please dont hesitate if you have any questions.
16. Thats a beauty, what is the string spacing and nut width please?
17. I met Norman a good few years ago whilst playing a gig in London with an old band of mine. At the time I wasnt too familier with his work but always respected and appreciated the talent of other musicians so we got chatting. Turns out that he was/is an utterly decent bloke! We ended up shooting the breeze for a good few hours and shared a bottle of wine. After that meeting, I started to give The Blockheads some good listening time and have never looked back, they were a great and thoroughly underated British band. So anyway, just echoing the sentiments from above, top guy and top musician in a great band.
18. Hi, I am new around these parts so apologise if this question has come up in the past. I am a drummer and looking to get heavily involved in some bass playing over the next few months at least and perhaps longer. My first question is where is a good place to go and look at and try lots of basses? I am based in Maidenhead so London and the M4 corridor shouldnt be a problem to travel to and I dont even mind travelling further afield in search of the right place. I am after shops with a healthy supply of basses in all shapes and sizes so I can gauge them all. I dont have a preference of style or budget yet as I am keeping my options open. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
19. Hello there, My name is Gordon and I have an admission to make, I am in fact a drummer. But fear not as I am here with the expressed desire to become a bass player. I have realised lately that having a keen understanding of bass would be able to help my drumming as well as add another string to my musical bow. In the coming weeks I will be picking the brains of all who will help on matters of which basses, amps and toys to look out for and which to stay away from. Anyway, thought I would say a quick hello before I get stuck in. Thanks for reading.
