1.
Totally off topic, but they should make a mix of the two and call it a phlanger. Just for the name.

Oh, erm.. i spose I should cover my ass:

    Bump! :)
My guitarist has one of those, called is a phlaser, its got all sorts of switches to change the order they come in and such.

  2. Bump cause bunch of PMs and no solid offers. I'll also add that Shockwave is selling a similar 2x10 very nearby, and the 2 x 2 x 10 end on end give you a small footprint, good sound dispersal, all the moving air of a 4x10 and speakers nearer ear level, which is ideal for the small stage.

  3. I was watching it cause I like the style, if its going, let me know, but also say why its going so soon. Thats a pretty good indicator that a chunk of your money is safe.

  4. Pick up a second hand Boss ME50B, decide what you like, and sell it on to the next perosn who wants to try pedals. For metal, you can't go wrong with the Boss ODB3, most bands I've seen use one for their bass drive, eq and blend mean vast amounts of tweak if you don't like the first sound you get.

  5.
I put one on my fender jaguar, it was like putting a new set of tuners on it really smooth highly recommended especially if you use a Hipshot d-tuner
+1, Local music shop sold me Graphtec for same price as normal cause bod didn't know the difference. They do indeed me my detuner happy.

  6. Get naked. Jump off stuff. DDD summed it up best on anotehr forum:

Whether or not you write the part, or someone else does, its up to you to play it with conviction, to convey its emotion, and rock the hell out of it. Plus when doing only root notes, its way easier to jump off of stuff. I feel that this is important. Chicks dig guys that jump off of stuff. They will see you bounding about the stage, like a gazelle hopped up on pixy stix and laxatives and they will say "wow, the sexy hott bass player gots the mad ups, I bet he's great in the sack" and the rest is, as they say, history.

    rock.

I've also read another theory that it was an intentional feature - with the extra wood at that point helping to keep the neck pocket from cracking...
I think Fender were into making 'features' of things that made production easier.

  8. If it broke, it is probably cause the slot wasn't quite big enough, graphtechs do that, they are brittle. Whilst unemployed I filed one out of a bone from the butchers, worked pretty well. Set of files is ytou best bet, I found a graphtec slightly too thick for my p copy so I skimmed it down with wet and dry laid over a piece of glass ( totally flat that way).
