Well, my nerdy audiophile mate said this is a good deal. But I have a nice enough amp. I'm putting the word about though.

I've killed a few hifi speakers playing bass through them. Can't reccomend it.

My guitarist has one of those, called is a phlaser, its got all sorts of switches to change the order they come in and such.

Hmmm, that sounds more traumatic than is funny.

I only came here to make a joke about a shortscale with a huge bottom end I've been GASing over recently.

OK, anyone got any good ideas how these cabs can go somewhere before I have to move house?

I have an EMG 35HZ pickup, with the 5 pins, but no cable for it. Anyone have a spare or some way I can figure which pin is what so I can just solder wires on?

Kinda wishin I bought this instead of the peavey stack I was hoping to get my monies back on the cabs with. What does everyone think of biamped rigs?

Bump cause bunch of PMs and no solid offers. I'll also add that Shockwave is selling a similar 2x10 very nearby, and the 2 x 2 x 10 end on end give you a small footprint, good sound dispersal, all the moving air of a 4x10 and speakers nearer ear level, which is ideal for the small stage.

I was watching it cause I like the style, if its going, let me know, but also say why its going so soon. Thats a pretty good indicator that a chunk of your money is safe.

Pick up a second hand Boss ME50B, decide what you like, and sell it on to the next perosn who wants to try pedals. For metal, you can't go wrong with the Boss ODB3, most bands I've seen use one for their bass drive, eq and blend mean vast amounts of tweak if you don't like the first sound you get.

Actually pretty sick of seeing it now.

I'd really like to be able to do that, but I know the most useful thing I'd get from doing it would be picking up other peoples basses, doing that, then going 'Nah, don't like it, plays a bit slow.'

+1, Local music shop sold me Graphtec for same price as normal cause bod didn't know the difference. They do indeed me my detuner happy.

Stay away from Mr. Sheen, that has silicon in and that makes finishing pro's angry. Everyone hates silicon. Unless it hasn't got silicon in and I made that up. Natural beeswax, Rustins wood finishing products are all good.

That would be making me regret, but turns out I have to sort a deposit on a new room, so good thing I didn't jump on it really.

I think Fender were into making 'features' of things that made production easier.

If it broke, it is probably cause the slot wasn't quite big enough, graphtechs do that, they are brittle. Whilst unemployed I filed one out of a bone from the butchers, worked pretty well. Set of files is ytou best bet, I found a graphtec slightly too thick for my p copy so I skimmed it down with wet and dry laid over a piece of glass ( totally flat that way).

Tim Commerford uses left handed necks cause they give him more tension in his low B. More string free to stretch means more tension needed to stretch it, is how I see it.
