1. Yes, brand spanking new body.
hey there, So did MM change the body as you were sayin in a previous post?
2. Only 7 months old, hardly used. In immaculate as new condition apart from small ding on the headstock which I've shown in the photo. Never gigged, only used at home. Lovely matte black finish with all black hardware and rosewood fretboard, these Stealth models are very hard to come by.The photos don't do it justice, very hard to photograph a black object, the fretboard is darker than it looks in the photos. Comes with original MusicMan hard case including case candy. A wealth of tones available with Humbucker and single pickups, a very powerful and versatile bass. Any trial welcome (Northamptonshire).
3. I'm taking this off the market for now. I noticed that the paintwork on the back was acquiring a few more small cracks so I sent it off to MusicMan for investigation. It turns out that the paintwork was not cured properly so they are completely replacing the body with a new one. Not sure yet how long this will take but I will put it up for sale again when I get it back. Please PM me if you would be interested in what will be a new unused Bongo Stealth HS with a 4 month old neck. Will be a great bargain for someone.
4.
Trades?
Sorry no trade, I need the cash to pay toward the Genz Benz shuttle I bought. Maybe trade the bottle of JD for something.......It's now empty though

6. Bought new 4 months ago from Bass Direct in the very sought after Stealth livery, all black with black hardware. Never gigged, in fact never left the house, but still somehow obtained the obligatory headstock ding. You all know how amazing these basses are, very punchy and a wealth of tonal variations especially with the HS. Paid £1400 for it, looking for around £950.

8. I have a 4 month old Stealth Bongo 4HS that I'm looking to sell if interested? (gone back to Fender).
9. Just checked out the specs on the Fender web site- American Vintage = Vintage Jazz Bass® Single-Coil Road Worn = Standard Vintage Alnico Magnet Jazz Bass® Single-Coil So it appears that the RW has Mexican pups, not American, but boy do they sound good. Does anyone else find that the RW has a punchier tone than the American Standard?
10.
Unless I'm missing something I thought the RW Jazz used the USA 62RI pickups? Have I got that wrong?
That's what I don't know. But the Road Worn sounded so much more punchier than my 62 American Vintage ever did.
11.
you wouldn't or would expect it to sound better?
I wouldn't expect the Ashdown to sound better, or am I mistaken?
12. I tried the RW through an Ashdown 15", I wouldn't expect it to sound much better than my Fender Bassman TV 12 or Genz-Benz shuttle 3. I need to try it through these but they didn't have anything like them in the store.
13. So..sold my 62 re-isue jazz because the sound wasn't punchy enough and bought a MusicMan Bongo, loads of punch! OK, so far very happy with the sound of the Bongo.....but still miss not having a Jazz, (only allowed one bass at a time she says). I just should't have gone in that music store yesterday and they shouldn't have had a road worn Jazz, and the sales guy just shouldn't have plugged it in and handed it to me. I know they are not to everyones taste but I just love the retro & relic thing but I didn't expect it to play so well. But it was the sound that amazed me...punchy! not like my RI at all, tons of variation as well. My RI never sounded this 'alive' it was all very subdued and almost muted by comparison. Has any one else found this difference between the RW & RI, are the pups hotter in the RW? Only had my Bongo Stealth for 4 months but thinking of letting her go already in favour of the RW, have to do a bit more research first and try out the RW some more to make sure it really was the bass that sounded so good and not the rig I tried it out with.
14. Now reduced, grab a bargain. These sell for £600-£750.
15.
Is this still available?
Yes, still for sale (ish). Sold it on ebay last week but the buyer hasn't paid up.
16. Hi Mark, It's 150 watt with a nice gain pre-amp. It can go pretty loud and would certainly cope with rehearsal and a small venue although I have only used it at home. I've just googled it and found some discussion on this, consensus is that it will cope with small gigs.
17. Reduced! now only £400! 150 watts of pure retro. Tube pre-amp. XLR output. As new, a few months old, never gigged, kept in smoke free environment. Collect only from Northamptonshire. Fender specs- General Amplifier Type: Hybrid Tube/Solid State Amplifier Electronics Inputs: 2 inputs (Input 2: -6dB pad) Line Out: XLR output with ground lift Channels: One Channel Power Handling: 150 Watts Controls: Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume, Deep and Bright switches Hardware Cabinet Material: Tweed Amplifier Covering Pilot Light Jewel: Red Amp Jewel Handle: "Dog Bone" Handle Front Panel: Chrome Front Panel Input Impedance: 1M (Input 1)/136K (Input 2) Amplifier Length: 12.75" (32.39 cm) Amplifier Width: 22" (55.88 cm) Amplifier Height: 20" (50.80 cm) Height Amplifier Weight: 44.6 lbs (20.23 kg) Speakers Speaker: 1-12" Celestion® Green Label Ferrite Bass speaker, 4 ohm, 200 watt power rating Tubes Pre Amp Tubes: 1 x 12AX7 Miscellaneous Additional Comments: Hybrid Bass Amplifier Combo (12AX7 Vacuum-Tube Preamp/Efficient Class-D Power Amp) Unique Features: 2 Inputs (Input 2 -6dB Pad), XLR Output with Ground Lift, Rear Ported Cabinet, Lacquered Tweed Covering, 12AX7 Tube Preamp/Efficient Class D Power Amp, Passive Tone Stack, Comfortable Dog Bone Handle, Chrome Control Panel, Chicken Head-Style Knobs, TV Panel Cosmetics with Modern Upgrades
18. Sorry, should have said I'm in Northamptonshire
19. Complete with vintage case and all the original case candy, original tags and unmounted ashtray pickup and bridge covers. Stack knobs. Nitro finish which marks easily hence a couple of dings and chips which I've tried to show on the photos, crazing on the finish also. Great vintage sound, plays and sounds superb! Lovely slim fast neck. I bought it new 3 years ago. Has TI flats on it. Trial welcome, cash on collection preferred but will post at cost. £750
