And then it happens with the amps as well
Jeez, that must sound enormous :)

  3.
OK this what I do:

    use these guys:
    http://www.stringsandbeyond.com/dr-mr-45.html
    4 string set of Hi-Beams = $23.95

    5 sets comes to $119.75
less current discount offer (15% of total order- enter code thanksgiving15 - valid until midnight on Monday 30/11) new total £101.79
    Add Postage (USPS) $14.95
    Total order $116.74 delivered
Using the Post Office USD/GBP conversion rate 1.5676 comes to £ 74 delivered.

I have used Strings and Beyond myself many times and always had great service. They may not stock that many brands of bass strings, though for DR's their spot on.

    Hope that helps

Surely you have the possibility of incurring customs charges etc with that?

  4.
Grats man, that thing deserves a long term owner, she's special, i only wish it could have sounded how i wanted! Alas, i'm a warwick man through and through!
You're right Sam, she is special.

While I'm here, I'd like to know what tool you guys use to adjust the Stingray Truss rod (just after a consensus of opinion) :)

    Pete

  5.
Very nice, Pete. I liked this bass when it was Sam's & if I'd have had the money at the time, I'd have snapped it up very quickly. Nice score, mate!

I'm almost as bowled over by the case lining it's wild.

Thanks guys. I think so too, it really is an absolute stunner, in looks, sound and playability. My Shuker is sulking
In threads where people show a collection of their basses, I like to ask what would be their desert-island bass if they had to pick just one.
I think in this case, T, the desert island could be more of a looming reality than you think!
Nice quartet by the way. So, which one will it be?
You had to say that didn't you?

Which one would I choose? That's a hell of a question.
Part of me says it has to be the Shuker; I had a hand in it's design, I waited an age for it and I love it to bits. However  the Stingray, well.............

    Pete

  8.
That's the first 'Ray i've liked the look of in ages, nice collection!
9.
Ah ok cool, looks sweet none the less, is it an olympic white....or slighty 'brighter'?

I'm a bit of a traditionlist, but that Shuker always does it for me! :)

    Si
Yeah, it's Oly White.

And thanks for the compliment, it's not to everyones taste but I love it (sounds amazing too)

  10.
The '06 MIA Jazzes had matching headstocks??

    Si
Nah mate, it's an FSR (Factory Special Run) I suspect it was a run that was made specifically for Guitar Center in the States.

    Pete

  11. Seeing as how I've recently had a new acquisition (Thanks to Budget Bassist), I thought I'd post a simple little group shot for your delectation (well mine really, it's for your sufferance :) )

From L-R Shuker Bolt on Elite, Stingray 4 HH 2008 LE, 06 S1 USA Fender Jazz FSR, Ibanez BTB550 (which needs new pickups)

    Cheers
