I bought this Fender American Standard Jazz Bass from Promenade Music in Morecambe earlier this year for £899 (I have the receipt to prove it if need be). The serial number dates it as 2008.

It is a lovely looking bass with the maple fretboard and I have set it up with some black nylon strings that give the sound a nice thick punch. The sound is great and the action is nice and low. It looks, plays and sounds great but unfortunately I just don't use it as much I should and therefore it has to go. It comes with the standard fitted Fender hard case and Fender shoulder strap.

It does need cleaning up a little bit and there is some buckle rash on the back (see pic.)

I'm only after £675 ONO or may part exchange for a Musicman Stingray.

I would prefer cash on collection but can post and accept Paypal if need be. I live in Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool.

Email me with any offers and thanks for looking.

Some stuff off the Fender website:
The new American Standard Jazz Bass is an even finer player’s instrument—a modern interpretation of our classic instrument for today’s players. Features include our new high-mass vintage bridge, a thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, new and improved Fender tuning keys that keep the classic look but are 30 percent lighter, a richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, a great-looking glossed maple or rosewood fingerboard and satin back for smooth playability and a new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case.
