1. NOW £550

Solid state amp, pretty good condition. Late 60's or early 70's. It souds just great and is quite loud for 75w. The 18" cabinet has the original rail mounts, etc, the cloth is in great condition, the wheels are still on it. Only small blemishess on the tolex and one of the metal panels - shown in the photos.

I bought it from the original owner, according to him it has been serviced not long ago with a couple of capacitators replaced. A power cord has been added for EU plug socket. May be whoever buys it should convert to UK type or use the socket at the back.

For full disclosure when turned on the amp sounds just a little noisy for about 10 seconds but then this stops and everything is fine. I am not quite aware why this happens but think it is worth mentioning. When I opened the cab, the speaker was in perfect condition, aslo no dust at all inside.

Pricewise - I found a couple of adds for these selling for silly high prices, so have tried to be a lot bellow that. If however I am mistaken and again am asking more than it is wort, I am willing to listen to every reasonable offer. So I am after £ 950 including shipping to your door in the UK (if You are outside UK, please ask me and I will calculate the differences in shipping and give You a precise end price).

The rig is definitely big and heavy - when I purchased it I did not realised how big it was and was a bit confused when it arrived, so please, have that in mind. I am selling primarily becase I do not have the room for it.

More detailed photos can be seen here: https://plus.google....CMS047GZrvaKsgE

I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method, although it sets me back a bit with all the transfer and withdraw fees. I have positive feedback which can be found here :http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067

Feel free to ask me any additional questions or demand additional photos. Delivery can take more than more than usual because of the size of it - I suppose about two/three weeks to the UK and most of EU.

Trade wise I would be interested only in Fullerton RI precisions or other vintage or vinatege reissue precisions – either a straight swap or with cash both ends.

  2. A rare bird – Vantage Entertainer VE-565. Made in 1983 in Matsumoku. Brilliant all original instrument, but being a workhorse for a lot of years has given it a natural relic treating – the frets have some life in them but will soon enough need to be replaced, there are many scuffs, dings and cracks in the finish and binding, tarnished hardware. Other than that its perfectly functional and a real pleasure to play. The bridge and tailpiece have been replaced, but the pictured originals are included. Comes with the original case which is in the worst condition possible, but will protect it during shipping with a little extra bubble wrap and cardboard box. If you would like additional photos or info, feel free to ask.

I believe that --- pounds OBO including shipping to UK and a hardcase is a fair price – if I am mistaken for its value and am asking too much, please correct me. For other EU countries – please, inquire for price due to huge differences in shipping rates – it could be less or more. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method. You can find my feedback here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067

Trade options – I am always on the lookout for nice precisions, may be a jazz bass and in particular an Epiphone Jack Casady signature.

  3. Bought a Hofner from Alex - great fellow to deal with. The description of the bass was flawless, communication was a pleasure, his packing is second to none and obviously the transaction went great! Top noch fellow basschatter and I would not hesitate to deal with him again!

  4. Hi, David,

I came across this thread and am terribly sorry about the switches - really didn't have an idea that they have been changed - you know the story of the bass. Please, tell me how much the replacement ones cost and I will refund You for that. Hope the build/assembly works out well.

    Regards
    Tsvetan

I used to have #0221, and I loved it!

    What's the weight?
And measured - just under 4 kg (or 8.8 lbs) - my mistake, but still not heavy.

Width at nut - 42 mm.

Also please, have in mind, that the neck is a bit of a vintage C shape - deep and thick, which may not suit all.

    Regards
    Tsvetan

  6. Having a bit of a clearance and two Duck Dunns seem more than necessary, so I am selling one of them.

I originally imported this one from Japan, so it’s the Japanese market version. The interesting thing is that it’s one of the last ones from the production line – serial # 253 – so far I have not seen a later serial.

Everything on the bass is completely original. It has some wear – few dings on the lower side of the body, few bumps on its upper side and a black mark on upper side of the headstock (I have tried to show everything in the photos). Other than that the electronics, truss rod, hardware and everything else works perfectly. The bass plays sweet with a nice action, no dead spots, currently strung with roundwounds, with minimal to none fret wear.

Sometime ago I tried to make a review of the two Dunns, but it turned out sloppy (please excuse my playing and the video and sound quality), but You can get the idea (the one for sale is the second one in the video) : https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be

More hi-res photos of the bass can be found here: https://plus.google....=CK6UrvntsaGZSw

The bass did cost me 780 Pounds to purchase and import from Japan, so I am after £ 760 including shipping to UK and most of the EU (if You are outside UK, please ask me and I will calculate the differences in shipping and give You a precise end price). I know it is not cheap, but provided its scarcity and quality, if it does not sell for that price I’m keeping it.

It will be shipped in the original gig bag it was sold in when new packed in cardboard and bubble wrap. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method, although it sets me back around £40 with all the transfer and withdraw fees. I have positive feedback which can be found here : http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067

Feel free to ask me any additional questions or demand additional photos. Delivery usually takes a week to the UK and most of EU.
Trade wise I would be interested only in goldtop Epiphone Jack Casady, Fullerton RI precisions (‘57 or ‘62),or other rosewood board vintage or vinatege reissue precisions – either a straight swap or with cash both ends.
