Hi Folks,
A while back I had a 1962 (I think) Gibson EB0-F come into me to partially restored. Almost every screw hole in the bass was stripped and it was a bit of a mess. I managed to repair most of the damage but the fuzztone circuit had gone missing sometime in the past. At the time I tried searching and even emailed Gibson to ask about a circuit diagram but came to nothing.

I recently had the bass in again and I thought I'd ask here.

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the fuzztone circuit in a 1960s Gibson EB0-F?

A while back I offered my two cabs and superfly for sale. I've decided to keep the head and one cab so the remaining cab is available.

Speaker Spec is :

2x10 + Horn
4 Ohm
250W
Size : 24" W x 16" H x 14.5" D
Weight is about 19KG.
Carpet covered finish with metal grille.
Rear connection is a jack and there is a control for the hf horn.

I paid £300 for the cab about a year ago new so I am looking for £175 plus post (should be about £10 for 48 hour). Cab is located in Edinburgh.

Both cabs and the head are available - I'd prefer sells the cabs on their own (singly or the pair) or as a stack (head plus both cabs) as I can use the head on it's own but not the cabs on their own!

I'd consider splitting the rig (selling one or both cabs). I'd be looking for around £200 a cab (or the nearest offer) as I paid £280 each for them and haven't used them since I got them.

I found these in a tool box today while searching for something else. They are bias tools for biasing valve amps - basically plug the tool in where the valve would go, plug the valve into the tool and connect a multimeter. Made by a company called SRS in America

I bought these about 18 months ago as I had a Marshall JCM800 valve head and a friend had a H&K valve amp so I needed to bias them. I bought them from America and by the time they were delivered I had sold my JCM800 for a DSL401 (which has bias points built in) and my friend had sold his valve amp so I have never used these!

The one at the left of the picture is for a single EL84 (or similar) valve while the right one is for two EL34's or similar.

I recall paying around £75 for the pair when I bought them (by the time I added postage, tax and Parcelfarce's charge for collection the tax). I'm looking for £18.00 for the EL84 one and £33.00 for the EL34 one including UK postage.

Due to me having sold my bass and spending most of my time playing multi-stringed folk instruments (12-string guitar, mandolin and cittern) I have decided to sell my bass rig off. The rig consists of two Yamaha BBT410s Cabs and an Ashdown Superfly head. Both the head and cabs are new. The head comes with all of the manuals, case and original box.

As far as I can tell, if it is defretted it is a pretty good job. There are (wooden?) markers in where the frets would be and the fretboard is smooth with no damage where I would expect damage from removing the frets.

I believe the twin-neck version came with one fretted and one fretless neck so I assume there was a fretless single-neck too.

I picked the bass up in a pawnshop as it looked different!

Having had this bass for about 6 months and still not being able to cope with the lack of frets it has to go!

According to the serial number it is from 1984, Japanese made.
4-string fretless, headless (an unauthorised Steinberger copy) in vintage white (well yellowed with age).
A few dings to the body and neck from use but in a reasonably good condition.
Comes with the original gun case-like carry case.
Restrung when I bought it with Rotosound strings but could use a set of roundwounds being fitted.
Plays fine though the controls crackle occasionally.

I am doing a redesign of my PA system and am clearing out the old effects rack. So these two can go :

Zoom 1202 Effects Unit. I bought this new about 10 years ago, sold it about 5 years ago and bought it back earlier this year. It hasn't seen much use but it was stored in a lock up so the back of the casing has a little corrosion. Still works OK. Comes with the original power supply. IMG Stageline 31-band graphic EQ. It has XLR and Jack connections and has an attached mains lead. A little grubby but fully functional. I assume these are long out of production as I can't find anything on them on the web!

3m (approx) 2.5mm speaker cable (beefy:recommended for runs of up to 35m into a 4 ohm impedance, or 70m into 8 ohms) with a Neutrik high power speaker jack on one end.
1m same 2.5mm speaker cable with Neutrik 4 pole speakons on each end wired up to standard.

I'm not playing or crewing at the festival this year - a few years ago I did Guitar Tech/sound/video crew for three shows at the fringe. Working 9-5, go to show, finish at 1am and then back to work at 9 - Killer!

I've hired my bass to one of the theatre companies I usually crew with - he needed a fretless while I repair his so he borrowed my Washburn Bantam and I currently have his Ibanez Musician to repair and his Hohner B2av to play with! The company is Tempo Musical Productions and they are performing "Spend Spend Spend"

As to going to see shows - how to decide? So many shows and so many options!

Already there! - a few weeks down and the peavey rig has been replaced with an Ashdown Superfly and 2 Yamaha BBT210S cabs! Same bass though maybe not for long (I've loaned it out for the Edinburgh Festival to a friend and he's loaned me his brand new Hohner B2AV 5-string - I can feel the GAS coming on!)

Sound Control were originally a Scottish company and they as they expanded they bought the Academy Of Sound chain.

I use the Sound Control store in Edinburgh and the central Glasgow store and they are generally pretty busy. I do wonder if they have expanded too big, too fast?

Due to a recent bout of GAS I have ended up with two bass rigs and one has to go to clear space for the other.



Peavey MkIII 400 head in reasonable condition (a bit battered after being gigged over almost 30 years) - unfortunately, channel A doesn't work - channel B is fine but A is silent.

The cab was a 1978 Peavey 215 but when I got it one 15 was blown so I cut the cab down to a 1x15. I managed to rescue the tolex so the logo of one of the earlier owners (Simple Minds) is still there.

This would be fine for a beginner or for a cheap rig. Feel free to contact me to find out more! Looking for about £60.00

Yamaha used to make a 4ohm 2x10 - the BBT210s. 2x10 + horn, 250w, weighs 21kg. I bought 2 yesterday to use with my superfly and they sounded pretty good - I compared them with an Ashdown Mag 210 and they sounded good. It's still only 14.5 inches deep (and 9 inches wide) - but it does look tiny on the peavey cab (which was designed to take the Peavey MkIII head!)
