Mallet finger - ouch!! I bet that stopped you playing for a while if it was your middle finger?? Did it fully heal? I know that it can be a very long process.

It was awkward but I usually play with three fingers so I managed to cope

Would this be a good buy?

You can buy them new from Thomann (with the three year warranty) for £135 ish... It's a budget amp - specs suggest it's bridged output is 600W into 8 Ohms (2 x 500W into 4 ohms stereo) Might suit you very well within these parameters - they're quite well liked from what I have read...

  4. After years of trouble free service I've had a set of hand/arm problems over the past year or so that I've been able to work around but it is slightly worrying

    1. Mallet fracture of my right middle finger
    2. Trigger thumb in my left hand
    3. Problems with my left hand little finger (very sore)

Luckily these have mostly got better - however I've just been diagnosed with Tennis elbow in my right arm and am having a steroid shot in early July..

Anyone else been through this, and any hints on how to cope?

I've come unstuck ( matron ? ) when trying to cross gravel car parks to pubs with hard wheel trolleys

The best type for any ground are balloon type wheels, as they just float across rather than try and bury themselves. Bastards

Anything with wheelbarrow type wheels works well on soft/gravel surfaces.. although I like the look of the balloon tyred trolley .

I had no idea there were restrictions on sending magnetic materials.

I looked it up when I got home and the rule is

'Magnetised material: Magnetised material with a magnetic field strength of 0.418A/m or more at a distance of 4.6m from the outside of the package is prohibited'

I' m guessing the pickups are no where near strong enough to be banned, but I don't where to start with measuring magnetism or what equipment you'd need to do it.
