  1. I think you all know the deal with these and I'm desperately sad to sell it, however, just got back from 4 months down under and I'm absolutely skint with no job, so something had to go...

Cosmetically it has a couple of tiny nicks in the tolex and a missing knob, otherwise, looks pretty neat.
Soundwise however, it's as meaty and ampegy as ever. The Valves are about a year old, it's not been used that frequently so, they should have plenty of life in them!

You're welcome to try it out as long as you bring a cab haha, I'm that skint :)

    Based near Liverpool

    Sold

Any questions drop me a PM

    Cheers, Ben.

  2. I'll be honest, I shouldnt have bought this (me and her finally agree on something!!) but I did because I'm silly and GAS got the better of me..!

Anyway, I've had it a week and I've practiced with it and while it's a lovely cab, I cant use it from NZ so, I'm offering it for what I paid, £290 to your door or £270 picked up from my house in Upton on the Wirral.

Any questions, send me a PM.

    Cheers, Ben.

  3. Hello

I'm off to new zealand in feb so I'm selling my 410hlf for a few more pennies however, I do want a cab to play with at home and at practices when I get back. I've probably got £250ish to spend on it and I like the idea of it being quite portable, so 2x10 or 1x12/15 I guess (and obviously 4-ohm and able to handle the power of the Ampeg!), as our practice room is up about 3 flights of stairs..!
    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers,
    Ben.

  4. Has anyone used the new SE range from Shure? I have some E2s but they're falling apart after 2 years solid use so I need some new ones!
Anyone suggest any alternatives? As a bass player, I'm obviously keen on good bass response!

    Cheers :)

  5. SOLD brand new full set of Ampeg SVT-CL tubes, I thought i'd need them but it turns out my current tubes are just fine, they just came a bit loose..!

    Consists of

Matched Sextet of Svetlana "Winged C" 6550c's

    Two JJ Electronic 12AU7/ECC82

    Four JJ Electronic 12AX7/ECC83s

Completely unused and in their boxes.

Cost me £170, cheapest you can get a matched sextet in the UK is £150. I'll do the lot for £160!

    SOLD

    And

A Fender Precision fitted hard case, excellent condition and full working order.

£100 new so, I guess around the £75-80 mark...

    Thanks for looking.

  6. Hello,

I lost a tube tonight while practicing, I was glowing bright red and the amp was making the noises arcade games in the 80s made when you died..!
I just want some suggestions on replacements and if anyone knows of anyone in the North West (Liverpoolish) area who could fit them and have a general poke about.

    Any help appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Ben.

I got one 2 weeks ago and I've used it at 3 practices and my body barely functions any more, it is devistatingly loud. I've got a 410HLF and it sounds absolutely amazing, proper growl. It's what basses should sound like! Buy this off this man!

  8. [quote name='bassbluestew' post='48962' date='Aug 22 2007, 02:01 PM']£28 ain't bad................from a fellow Weegie, I've paid a lot more than that in the past !
