1. £835 for the basic Pbass according to the WEBSITE, not sure on the JJB model, i'm sure someone on here has one though, but i would think it would be round about the same as the custom P bass's, maybe slightly more

Edit: Heres a THREAD about it

  2. Great thread, i've been tasked with sorting the bands myspace page out, stumbled accross this type of style, this appears to be some kind of custom coding as far as i can tell, now how can i get mine to look like it, or do i need to be some kind of HTML ninja

  3. Ivory Blacks, Glasgow 29/08

went really well, we were first on, small but very receptive crowd, some really cool bands both on a musical and personal level, promotor seemed to like us and is talking about support for touring bands, a complete turn around from last weeks disaster

  4.
Sorry to hear that. We headlined in Rockers a few times now and love the place (apart from the dressing room/broom closet :) ). It has always been packed out each time we played and the sound guy really knows his stuff too. The massive projector screen that slowly rises like a curtain as you start your set is a nice touch. What I like most about it is the punters as they're most appreciative and have specifically come along to hear some ba's oot rawk.
yeah the sound guy knows his stuff, he was a bit of a tosser to start with though, but i think he was genuinely looking foward to hearing us after we soundchecked, oh well, ivory blacks next saturday hopefully things are better there

  5. ROCKERS GLASGOW 23/08

Everything was going fine, their was even a witherspoons next door to chiil out before the gig, everything was going to well, once in the venue we were told if no one comes to see you, you don't get to play, by this i mean they ask everyone on the door who they've turned up to see, hence to say we didn't bring anyone, at no point was any of this mentioned to us when they booked us for the gig, the lack of communication between the promotor and us was terrible on speaking to the other bands it was much the same, the other 5 bands had between them brought in the sum total of 9 punters, 3 of the bands including us hadn't brought anyone, but we were told to f**K off basically, at least we got to soundcheck which went down well so thats someting.

i did feel sorry for the headling act (downfall) who had travelled all they way up from sommerset, a great introduction to glasgow for them. hence to say we didn't stick around so i don't know how it all panned out in the end. but i do advise staying clear of rockers, so to recap the gig was utter s***e

  6. oh yes my band had three gigs in a row cancelled, on the subject of promotors our first 2 gigs of year were with the same people, the first time they asked us to bring a guitar amp (which we did) the gig was crap not well promoted hardly anyone there etc, you'd have thought my band would learn from that but no, despite my protests we gigged with them again, this time we provided 2 guitar amps, i was forced to play through a crappy 30w practice amp which had no business being there, again there was hardly anyone there and it was crap......never again my band will probably gig with them again ( a gig is a gig and all that).....its wembley or nothing i say

  7. Finally after a run of bad luck and the lack of a decent music scene in our hometown of stirling, my band will be playing at Ivory Blacks in glasgow, would be nice to see some fellow basschaters there, doors open 7pm

  8. Not gigged in stirling for a few years now, there is a big indy scene in stirling at the moment which makes it hard for a metal band to get a gig to be honest, my band HATCH played quite a few places a few years back, but we've been fairly inactive for the past few years just started gigging again, but it looks like most of our gigs will be in glasgow, which i prefer anyway. you won't have a problem getting help on here, lots of folk on here really know their stuff, and can play a bit too

  9.
Here's mine. It's a very early one. Has no serial number. It's been suggested to me that it may be the original Namm show model:
nice wall unit, the bass aint bad either
