LITTLEWING
Just aquired a used ESP B-55 and although a very playable guitar, the tone control appears to do it's job except that the last 20% towards 'dull' takes the volume down until it's nearly off. Everything looks okay electrics-wise and I've even compared it to a Precision Special wiring diagram which seems the same. It's not really a problem, but just odd. Any ideas ? OutToPlayJazz
Yes, most P style basses do that to varying degrees. Fender do a "greasebucket" tone control (particularly on the HighWay One model) which avoids the volume loss.
