iconic Posted April 19, 2010 Share Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) My old RBX-374 had a set of Ernie Ball Group 111 flatwounds on and I loved them...I'm gagging for a set for my BB414 now but I can't remember what gauge I had...and the box got sold with the RBX!...I know I could slap them! newbie question but.....is the usual default gauge 40-100? how does the gauge effect the tone....I'm guessing the thicker the string gauge, the warmer the tone?
