originalfunkbrother Posted February 11, 2010 Share Posted February 11, 2010 Hi all, I have a Fender Marcus Miller Jazz IV and I am contemplating replacing the factory preamp with either a Sadowsky or J-(Marcus) Retro. The existing premap doesnt sound too bad but I guess with the added mids and possibly bright pop up, it would sound much better than it does now. Problem is, I came across a thread and someone mentioned something about it (replacing preamps) not working if the bass is active already.
