Sharp Bridge Saddle = Broken Strings?
Hey,

I've just managed to break two Rotosound Swing .45 strings in two weeks (it is the correct gauge!), and I think I've found the issue. I was looking at the saddle, and it appears that there is a trough, patterned like the string, is cut into the groove in the saddle. It may be slightly sharp, but it's hard to tell. Could this be what is causing the string breakages....?

And is the solution just to get a new saddle...or splash out on a Badass or a Hipshot (or any nice bridge...suggestions welcome!) to spruce up my Squier (she gets used ALOT).

What's the view everybody?

Cheers.
do the strings break at the saddle
if there is a rough spot...smooth it off with emery tape
also when you fit a string put some pencil lead dust on the saddle for lubrication...and tension slowly
