KennysFord
Hey all, I recently aquired a WA Audio power amp for rehearsal duties. It's quoted at 250w in to 4ohms a side. There's an input sensitivity selector switch with 1.4v,1.0v and .775v settings. The amp is running a normal desk into full range cabs.Do these different input settings alter the output power ??? I'd hate to change it without knowing in case I damage summat. Thanks in advance.
Mr. Foxen
It is to match it up with the output rating of whatever you are feeding it. Should have a rated output on whatever is going in, I noticed bass preamps are about 1 volt. More and you could clip more easily, less and you might not be getting full potential. Stewart
.775 will be the correct setting (0dBA)
KennysFord
Cheers guys, I checked the manual on the desk and there's no info re output in V. I'll try the other positions then and see what happens.
