When I got this - as many are - the neck was sticky black and so its been stripped and beautifully finished by renowned Lincolnshire luthier John Le Voi and plays like silk and IMO looks so much better 

 

The weight is a respectable 9.1 ish  pounds on my kitchen scales (allow a little variation in that) 

 

the original pickguard that came with this model is a metal checkerplate and is included in the sale; the red one is a quality aftermarket one i prefer it personally 

 

There are a few dinks on the body which is the original white matt-ish slightly textured finish 

 

Its sounds amazing for slap and to be honest if these were the weapon of choice for Bernard Edwards nuff said it can do it all - new strings and set up from John when he refinished the neck which is a million percent better than stock
