So... the guy I bought this bass from upgraded the pickups to a pair of Aguilar AG 4J-HC Hum Cancelling ones. I then went one further and added an East J-Tone Vol/Blend preamp. I have the original loaded control plate and Fender pickups which I will send out with the bass. The olympic white is ageing nicely. There is a ding in the paintwork behind the top horn, not noticeable from the front about 1cm across (pic).

It will come in an old, but serviceable Hiscox hard case, P+P at buyers expense.

Just going to chime in here (for provenance, or whatever)- I was the guy Shaun got this bass from - in fact we traded my (this) Olly White Std Jazz for his Olly White Std P (it's still going strong Shaun)!

 

I was the first owner, having bought it new from GAK in Brighton sometime in 2014. It's a great bass, reasonable weight iirc and great tone with the Aggy pups installed. Was my main gigging bass until I bought my Sadowsky then it retired to its' case - hence the trade.

 

The dent in it as pictured was caused by my Fodera at the time falling over on stage. I like to think the Jazz leapt forward to save it (!) and it should therefore be considered a hero 🤣!!

If I hadn't bought a Dingwall, (and now need a second, shorter scale) I would keep it as my back-up bass, but time and the missus dictates...
