RSV60 Posted Thursday at 18:27 Posted Thursday at 18:27 My 4 string Overwater bass, D-string makes a metallic resonate sound when D# note or open D-string is played finger style at pickup closest to the bridge. Checked bridge saddle of d-string ( bridge is not the most user friendly) Used different strings. But cannot locate the cause. All other strings are fine and do not have any issues🤷 No loose screws. intonation is fine. Any suggestions? Thx Jack Quote
JPJ Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Might help if you tell us which model of Overwater you have. Also, things that I’ve had rattle in the past include tuner bushing, tuner gear, tuner ‘ear’ (the ones that have a little screw in the top to hold the ear to the shaft), truss rod cover, truss rod when loose, string through body ferrule, neck plate screws/neck plate. I’m sure I’ll probably come across more sources of rattles but that’s the first 47 years worth of bass ownership experience. Edited 4 hours ago by JPJ Quote
