Elixir Nanoweb or Rotosound Swing Bass

So...I'm looking to buy a new set of strings, roundwound 45-105. I know it sounds weird but I've never tried these on my MIM Fender Jazz. (been playing with EB...sound ok, don't last that long though) I play hard rock/ metal use mostly fingers (use pick on 2 songs)

According to the reviews I've read the Elixir last longer and are easier on fingers and fretboard, but opinions seem divided in terms of sound. As for Rotos, not as great in terms of durability but have a great tone. My sound is quite agressive, I'm a heavy handed guy...I'm mostly looking for a good growly sound. so bearing in mind what I play and how I play it...which one should I try now?

Elixirs do last very well. I like them, but (to me) they do lose something in attack.

I can't abide Rotosound roundwound (I like their rather strange Tru-Bass though...) - I always seem to get at least one 'dead' string, but others are obviously happy with them.

For your requirements I think I'd probably go with Elites stainless roundwound.

But given infinite time, you'll receive an infinite number of recommendations! :)

Stadium Elites - for the money, can't be beaten IMHO.
