BCRich58 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 Assembled this bass during the quarantine era: Aluminati aluminum bass neck, patterned graphite fretboard, Sperzel locking tuners, stainless frets, 34" scale. Custom jazz bass style body, two passive EMG Jazz Bass pickups. I found the wooden knobs and the control panel cover via a luthier's liquidation site. Aluminati is based in North Carolina, USA, and makes aluminum necks and full instruments. 15 Quote
PinkMohawk Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 Ooohh that's pretty slick. Not a huge fan of their headstock design but that's just personal preference. How do you find the Sperzels? Rare to see them on a bass. Quote

To be honest, Sperzels are neat, although I really don't think that you need locking tuners on a bass, nor stainless steel frets for that matter, but Sperzels are excellent. Quote

I agree that locking tuners are unnecessary, I mostly just like the design of the buttons instead of the usual clovers or Y-keys haha. Quote
