For sale is a Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Mustang bass from 2011. Short scale (30 inches) in Sunburst, crafted in Indonesia. These were only made from 2011-2013 and don't come up for sale that often. It's rare to find a Mustang with a nice satin urethane maple neck like this, as most of them have that heavy glossing on the back, which is not to everyone's taste.

I would describe the condition as somewhere between very good and excellent. There are a few marks consistent with age and normal use, the worst is a small cluster of minor knock marks, which is out of sight when playing anyway, as you can see from the photos. Some tiny marks and scratches on front of body and pickguard. I put black screws on the pickguard but can include the original silver ones too. Jazz width nut of 1.5 inches. Nice slim, playable neck thickness, measured with calipers just before the 1st fret of 0.810 inches. It weighs in at a lightweight 3.2Kg (7.2lbs) on my digital luggage scales, and as such is very comfy to play, with no neck dive. Just re-strung with new D'Addario EXL160M medium scale 50-105 nickel roundwound strings. 19 fret maple fingerboard with lovely satin finish. String-thru bridge.

As far as I can see, everything is stock. I only bought it recently myself, but I don't think short scale is for me. It's a lot of fun to play on my lap, but to stand and play, I just prefer long scale. If I ever absolutely had to move over to short scale, I wouldn't hesitate to get something like this again, especially as this neck is so nice and easy to play, but for now I need to move it on as I just prefer a good old Precision. No dings to the nice headstock which has 70s style decals. Electronics all working, the tone pot is a little scratchy, but this could be easily fixed if it bothers you. There is a bit of buzz when not touching the strings, so I guess the cavities may just need some shielding. Again, easily and cheaply sorted if you know what you're doing.

It will come in a basic TGI padded gig bag, which will be well wrapped in strong outer card box. Collection possible from Southport, meet-up in North West within reason, or posted to mainland UK address at buyer's expense of 30 pounds on top of sale price. This is for Parcelforce 24 hour next day, fully protected, trackable delivery (live tracking possible on the day). I should be able to ship within 1 working day of payment being received. Feel free to check my Basschat feedback and please PM if interested. Open to sensible offers, as I would rather sell on here than on eBay. Any Mustang fans should love this, also it's a perfect way to dip your toes into the waters of short scale without spending silly money.

NO TRADE OFFERS WHATSOEVER PLEASE. I recently bought another bass, and will have another arrive any day now, so I don't need any bass offers, just some money and space back. (Edit: Just wanted to get back around what I paid, which was £300, but realised I possibly overpaid a little anyway, price now dropped to £275).
