EddHytheTown Posted February 5, 2022 Share Posted February 5, 2022 If anyone fancies a bit of a project, or some modding, I just saw a black Westone Spectrum 2 for sale at Robert Grummitt's music shop in Caterham, Surrey. It's in the window for 30 quid, apparently with dead circuitry. I see information about Westones coming up every now and again, but don't know much about them. It looks a nice bass though, and without having a proper look it appears in good condition otherwise for what I assume is perhaps 30+ years old? From a very quick look online there seem to be Spectrums for sale for a few hundred quid, so this could be a good deal for somebody who has the electronic know how, or fancies taking it in somewhere to be mended. Just to say I've no affiliation to the shop whatsoever, I just happened to be passing and had never seen a bass in the window before.
