Nicksb1000 Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 hey, i just bought an 80's aria sb1000 and im thinking about upgrading the pickup. thinking about an emg mmcs. Dont really know anything about pickups as ive always just used the stok pikups in the past. Any ideas? I play mostly metal, with a pick through a Galien Kruger rb1001. Buzz Posted March 10, 2009 Share Posted March 10, 2009 Why do you want to upgrade? Is the current not beefy enough, or not putting out the sound you want? Nicksb1000 Posted March 10, 2009 Author Share Posted March 10, 2009 Yeah, the bass is wicked, but it just doesnt sound as beefy as my warwick. the sound i go for that has loads of attack and a defined bass.
