Norman Helm is the bass player,a well known Preston musician.He plays in about 5 bands at any one time.Gorgeous ray,swr redhead and tone to the bone. Dr.Dave Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 We were doing the Clone Blues fest a couple of years back and buggered off for a pint to get out of the way - certain the guitar player we saw was Lee Wharton , having watched that vid. KennysFord Posted February 9, 2009 Author Share Posted February 9, 2009 Hey Al,no worries.I was looking out foryou but guessed on Sunday that you might of had bigger fish to fry Dr Dave,Lee Wharton,yeah,he's a good un alright.I think "Funky Norm" as he's known locally has joined his band fairly recently. He's a sh*t hot bassist,one of the best i've seen. I used to go and watch him play back in the early eighties,he was good then too...bastard.
