Guest MoJo Posted September 15, 2019 Share Posted September 15, 2019 To save me taking them out, does anyone know what value the pots are in a Yamaha BB424 or BB425 (I imagine they’re the same in both basses)? I love my BB425 but I find it a bit dark sounding for some of the rockier tracks we play, when compared to my P-Bass. I’m thinking a 1 Meg pot may help, especially if the originals are 250k. I’ve taken the control cavity cover plate off and all I can see is the manufacturers name on them, Alpha. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That’s correct, so I’m hoping that the 250k pots are bleeding off some of my BB425’s top end. I have a 1Meg pot on the way.
