Zoom A3 Pre-Amp & Effects    
This is a unit designed for Acoustic Guitar but I used it very successfully for Double Bass to blend a mic and a pickup.     
It's like a Zoom Mulitstomp unit (MS-60B, MS70CDR) for acoustic instruments.    
For some reason Zoom have stopped making these which is a shame as it makes a useful and relatively cheap preamp for blending mic and pickup.    

• Separate volume levels for line and mic inputs    
• 48v mic phantom power    
• Battery powered or mains adapter (included)    
• Up to 3 effects (EQ, compression, reverb, delay, modulation, filters)    
• High pass filter on the mic input (you can use an EQ effect to high pass a pickup input)    
• Stereo outs and balanced XLR out.    
• Onboard Tuner    
• 3 EQ knobs
