It is from the first series - so 34' scale instead of the 35' scale of the current (2nd) series. Black flame-maple top, ebony fretboard, original Yamaha PUs. Gold hardware, Dunlop strap locks (incl. strap parts). The bass was played a lot and has a number of dings and dongs - but nothing dramatic or anything affecting sound or playability. There are also two wholes near the bridges - covered with foil - where a piezo PU was once installed. This is a fantastically balanced, super-tone, comfortable-to-play, and versatile 6-string!
