PRICE DROP This Sandberg California II TM5 RW TS HG, 5 string electric bass is only 5 MONTHS OLD, alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 34" long scale, 22 frets, 1x Delano J-style pickup, 1x Delano Power Humbucker pickup, PU split, Sandberg 2-band EQ, active/passive, chrome hardware, tortoise pickguard, finish: tobacco-sunburst highgloss, incl. gig bag. This bass is beautiful. What does it weigh? I should mainly be playing my Lakland JO5 (I play in a 60's band and it's Jazz shape is perfect) which has a J-retro fitted and has a huge tonal range, but its just too heavy for my poor 56 yr old back! I need to go lighter with a 60's looking bass, but don't want a Fender!

It weighs 8.2 lbs, I have 2 compressed fractures in my back and I find it fine weight wise. The tonel variation is great on the bass with the back pick up giving u a more punchy middle sound with the front a classic jazzy tone. I use blend in the middle getting equal signal from both and I love that sound, great EQ also on the bass, really is a lovely bass
