1970 Fender Precision Bass SOLD £1600

[size=4]Up for sale is my 1970 Fender Precision Bass. Sounds epic with the original pickups blasting out that classic P thump.[/size]

[size=4]Points to note as follows:[/size]

[color=#000000][font=Helvetica][size=3][size=4]- It has replacement bridge (Fender RI), tuners (Fender RI), knobs (look vintage but are not correct for the period) and strap buttons. Non original later period Fender hard case. No chrome covers[/size][size=4] [/size][size=4] [/size][size=4] [/size][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000000][font=Helvetica][size=3][size=4]- the action is set at 3/16ths at the 12th. Any lower than this and I get buzzing on the A and D strings up above the 14th fret.[/size][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000000][font=Helvetica][size=3][size=4]- It has checking to the poly finish - mainly on the body rear[/size][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000000][font=Helvetica][size=3][size=4]- It has an extra screw in the pick guard to try and hold a crack in the guard just above the end of the neck atop the E string[/size][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000000][font=Helvetica][size=3][size=4]- It has a nick out of the guard by the jack[/size][/size][/font][/color]
- Some of the wiring has been changed (see green wiring in the controls)
- Pots date to '66
- Pups date '70
- weighs in at 8.9lbs
- Not obvious, but wider fret wire and condition of frets suggests a refret

All in all, a great vintage bass for a great price.
