Bass guitar condition: it is almost new. There are some tiny scratches on the surface, but they are visible only at a certain angle. As for the rest, the guitar is like from the store. Technically the bass in in a perfect condition as well; all the mechanisms and details work well! Sound: Having a good experience of owning and using bass guitars (fender jazz bass mostly), I concluded that the combination of alder body + maple neck gives a very cool and pleasant sound. It has renewed iron, more massive bridge that gives the possibility to place strings through the body as well as through the bridge; The wood is rightly-selected and has a good resonance. The 5th string works perfectly. It sound live and clear not only ‘till the 5th fret. Tuning and convenience: It is one of the most comfortable 5-string bass guitars. The great work on these Fender models has been done. Engineers managed to gain a great balance in ergonomics as never before, in my opinion. Thanks to to graphite support rods, the neck is very stable and tunes easily. Strings can be placed as low as you wish. The tuning is perfect. The guitar is very light and pleasant in use, especially when you need to play long sets. In general, everything is usual and even more comfortable). The general result and my subjective opinion: The instrument is wonderful and modern; it hasn’t lost its classic charm and in addition to this, it keeps the track of time. This bass is able to fulfill any bass task: from classics to modern styles and all in one instrument. The 5-th string is great.
