Gibson ES Les Paul Strings

Had a twang on a Gibson ES Les Paul Bass recently. Lovely guitar... but mucho dinero. The thing that caught my eye was the flatwounds it was strung with. Anyone know what they use as standard on the these instruments? Strings had blue wrappings at either end and had a slightly textured feel.

Gibson signed a deal last year with Cleartone to supply their factory-fitted strings for guitars

but, it seems they only do what look like coated nickel roundwounds

so, that might not be so helpful
