Lloyd C
Can anyone give me a heads up on these? Internet search suggests they were modelled on the Fender Bassman and were pretty loud beasts, but hoping to find some peers who may have used them to give me some idea about them... Jazzneck
Bit late I'm afraid but here goes. ELGEN 100W head was all valve and a fantastic clean loud amp - I have one. ELGEN Studio 50 was solid state and came in 2x12 combo form - I also have one of these. ELGEN were manufactured in High Wycombe, Bucks from 1967ish to the mid 1970s. I used the ELGEN prototype 40W valve bass amp 1967 / 68 - best amp I've ever used. I've been looking for it ever since but now I believe that it went back to ELGEN and was broken up for spares. What do you need to know?
