RJ87 Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 Hi folks, I've got about £450 to spend on a new bass and whats doing it for me at the minute tone wise is an Ibanez CT 5 string I took the pre amp out of and wired up passive with decent pots and shielding. Might also be worth noting that the pickups are decent, EMG's according to the catalogue. So I wondered if anyone's got any suggestions for a Jazz ish (2 single coils) bass that would fit the bill? Used is preferable, (I don't mind waiting for something to come up) and then I feel less guilty about deforesting the planet! I don't mind what it says on the headstock, but I've always been a bit underwhelmed by Fenders so maybe more along the lines of Jazz clones or alternatives? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
