[url="http://www.festival-interceltique.com/index_en.php"]Lorient Interceltic Festival[/url] I was wondering if anyone's been before or will also be playing at the festival this year. As far as I know it's to promote and celebrate celtic languages and traditions with music and everything else you could think of. Being a welsh speaker myself and being in the loop with people in the local folk circuit I've been asked to go along to play with a approx. 60 strong folk 'orchestra'. Not at my own expense of course. Folk's never been my thing but I've had a suprising amount of fun and experience from the rehersals and gigs I've done with them already. it's the first time I've been abroad to play really so it's a step in the right direction for me. bit of a reading gig aswell *shock horror*.
