coffee_king Posted November 11, 2013 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Hey guys Ive got one of the early Ashdown ABM500 heads which Ive been using for years. But its suddenly started to make weird farty noises in my cab when I crank it up past about 6/10 on specific notes. RandomBass Posted November 11, 2013 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Are you using the valve drive? A dying pre-valve could cause symptoms like that. When you say you are cranking it past 6/10, you mean the output knob I assume? If so then I would have thought a dying valve would be heard at all volumes - but it could be just that it isn't noticed until higher output volumes.
