Posted this a few months back, someone wanted to buy it, didn't turn up and is still here, Need the space at home.

I bought his off Martin in the Bass Gallery in London, Great store for those who know it. Ashdown was a relatively small company then that was just starting to make it’s mark. It has served me very well And although it’s a had a couple of services along the way and has never let me down. I have been told around that ashdown now manufacture in the east, don’t know what the new ones are like long term but this one is Uk, has been a sturdy bit of kit.

There isn’t much I can say about this that a lot of you don’t already know.
The E.Q. May seem to have a strange layout at first but every control boosts and cuts incredibly well, and the choices of frequencies on the faders in between bass middle and treble are perfect, making it super easy to get the sound you are after really quickly, and changing it really quickly too. It seems to adapt to any room very easily with a few tweeks, even on hollow floored stages you can cut the bass end enough to loose woofiness and still maintain loads of bottom end definition whilst still sounding like the bass player. The mid can give real punch and the next two faders along can get loads of growl. Treble wise you can get way more than you will ever need. And if you want Low end, Between what you can push on the head and the fifteen holds, it’s floor rumbling. I’ve noticed some amps don’t react well to distortion, this one does beautifully.

The amp has loads of dynamic range, letting you control ample volume with your fingers. Using the valve preamp seems to giva a bit of natural compression at higher gain, and has a very nice sweet spot if you push the gain to just before over driving.

The Cab is also brittish made, 2x10” cones 1x15” and a tweeter that can be switched on/off or half way . It responds really well to anything you change on the amp, the mix of speakers makes it very versatile. Has way more bottom end and treble than you will ever need. And the mid is very well defined by the two tens.

Originally loaded with all Celestion, unfortunately I had to replace the fifteen due to a tear in the cone, I replaced the whole speaker with what ashdown now use as standard, took the black option instead of blue though. It’s just as good…. And it’s brand new as seen on the picture. Barely been played.

The outside shows wear and tear, but it all works very well.

I would love to hold on to this, but I have a smaller practice amp and it’s not fair for this to be sitting on my landing. It needs to be played by someone.

I’m asking for £[s]650 £550 £450[/s] £400 ono for the lot.
